Honestly, this joint is terrific. It's cheaper (120NT$ for a burger meal, real burger, real fries, real sauce, unlimited drinks, soup), it's nicer (60s decoration and comfy sofas on the second floor, good oldies/Rock music, free Internet).
Absolutely brilliant. I hope they last.
Food is good, place is good. But they are a bit stupid.
I asked for vegetarian. They said NO and turned me away!
Then I looked at the menu, and found a burger with several ingredients (pork, mushroom, tomato, onion, lettuce, pickle) -- except the pork, all other ingredients in that burger were vegetarian! So I said, "Give me that burger WITHOUT the pork"!
Instead of blindly following the printed menu and turning me away, they could have easily made up a vegetarian burger for me. What idiots! No business sense.
Anyway, at least they accepted my suggestion and gave me what I wanted.

Sounds to me like somekind of joke, especially in Taiwan. This has nothing to do with having business sense. It's a bit like going to a steak house and asking them for a veg dinner, suggesting they can take the steak away.
Atleast they were nice to give you what you wanted, odd as it may be.
