From http://www.fe.unair.ac.id/apmc14/ :
Following a number of conferences held in USA, Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Australia, the Fourteenth Asia Pacific Management Conference (APMC), will be held by Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, Airlangga University, on 18, 19, and 20 November 2009. Research contributions addressing any aspects of Managing Complexities in the Asia Pacific Region are welcome.
Among others, Asia Pacific region enjoys enormous economic growth and development. Recent reports also indicate that the region occupies bigger share in the global market. On the other hand, the region is known for highly diverse cultures, various political conditions, and asymmetric level of economic growths. These paradoxical facts – complexities - offer opportunities and managerial challenges for business players how to manage their businesses in this region. Therefore, the main question proposed here is how companies can manage the complexities of their businesses in the Asia Pacific region?
The research seminar is a joint undertaking between the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, Airlangga University (Indonesia) and National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan). The Conference is intended to bring together researchers engaged in Management, Economics and related fields from Asia Pacific, Europe, and other parts of the World. Ph.D. students are also strongly encouraged to submit proposals for papers.
